Our next ‘Oldies but Goodies’ preview comes from Ruben Camacho. He chose the classic John Lennon song, ‘Imagine.’
Ruben says:
‘It was from John Lennon, after the Beatles broke up. They all were going solo and had some hits. Imagine was one of them. It is an important song to me because dreaming and imagining are good things. The song says: ‘someday you’ll join us,’ and the world will be for everyone, not for just some, and thinking of that day makes me happy.’
This cover version was (coincidentally!) recorded on December 8, 2010, which was, as Ruben pointed out, the 30th anniversary of John Lennon’s death.
